The challenge
A small rescue with a big mission — and not enough hours in the day.
Lucky Hedgehog Rescue needed a credible online home and a joined-up way to reach supporters — somewhere people could learn about hedgehogs, donate confidently and stay in touch between visits.
The team had heart and expertise in spades, but limited time and bandwidth for the digital side. We took it on as a partner — building, training and supporting week after week so the rescue could focus on the hedgehogs.
What we delivered
One joined-up presence — web, social, email and video.
New website
A clear, fast, accessible site that now welcomes around 2,500 visitors every month and tells the rescue's story properly.
Social growth
Facebook following grown from 7,000 to 12,000 — a steady, organic audience tuned in to the rescue's day-to-day work.
Donation journeys
£4,000 in donations captured, with 30% recurring monthly — a dependable income stream the rescue can plan around.
Newsletter
Designed and launched a newsletter that's already reached 300 subscribers, keeping supporters close between social posts.
YouTube channel
Built a YouTube channel so the team can share rescues, releases and educational moments in a way social can't quite carry.
Weekly Zooms & support
Constant feedback, weekly Zooms and practical guidance — partner-level support, not just a handover and goodbye.
Our approach
Build the home first, then light up the channels around it.
- 01
Discovery
Got under the skin of the rescue — who supports them, what donors care about, where the gaps were.
- 02
Website build
An accessible, fast, easy-to-update website with clear donation paths and room to grow.
- 03
Channels
Grew Facebook, designed and launched the newsletter, and stood up a YouTube channel for richer stories.
- 04
Weekly support
Constant feedback and weekly Zooms — supportive, informative, never disappearing after launch.
The outcome
A growing audience, recurring donors and channels the rescue owns.
- 2,500 monthly website visitors arriving at a credible online home
- Facebook audience up from 7,000 to 12,000 — and still growing
- £4,000 in donations captured, with 30% giving monthly
